Advance Options

The Advanced Settings section allows you to customize how events and announcements are managed and displayed in Discord. Below, each setting is described in detail to help you configure your events to suit your community’s needs.

List & Announcements

Announce as New Message

Posts every announcement as a new message.
This setting forces all announcements to appear as distinct new messages, even if similar announcements already exist.

Announce Event on Creation

Automatically announces an event when it is created.
Enabling this option posts an announcement to your server as soon as an event is added to the schedule.

Expand Status Buttons

Enlarges the status buttons for better visibility.
This feature increases the size of status buttons like "Going" or "Interested," making them more noticeable to users.

Auto Generate Discord Image

Automatically creates an image for the Discord announcement.
When enabled, this setting generates a default image for events, improving the visual appeal of announcements.

Expand Guests in Description

Expands the guest list within the event description.
Displays all guest names directly in the description of the event announcement.

Hide Atomcal URL

Hides the Atomcal website URL in the announcement.
Useful if you want to keep announcements free of links to external websites.

Visibility and Cleanup

Hide Announcement Buttons

Hides the interactive buttons in event announcements.
This can streamline announcements by removing RSVP options like "Going," "Interested," etc.

Hide Announcement Message

Conceals the main content of the announcement message.
Use this setting if you prefer to keep announcements minimalistic by hiding their textual content.

Hide Announcement Thread

Prevents a thread from being created for the announcement.
Stops the automatic creation of discussion threads for event announcements.

Delete Announcement on End

Automatically deletes the announcement once the event ends.
This option keeps your channels clean by removing event announcements after the event concludes.

Prevent Start Announcements

Stops an additional announcement from being made at the start of the event.
Useful if you don’t want reminders cluttering up your channel when an event begins.

Announce Next Instance on End

Automatically announces the next instance of a recurring event when the current one ends.
Ideal for recurring events, ensuring that users are informed about future sessions.

Use Discord Event

Utilizes Discord's native event feature within the announcement.
Adds functionality by integrating Discord’s event system, allowing users to see the event in Discord’s Events tab.

Guest Management

Separate TimeoutUI

Separates the user interface for setting timeouts.
This option creates a dedicated interface for managing timeouts for various aspects of the event.

Show User Tags in Guest List

Displays user tags (e.g., roles) in the guest list.
Enables tags for users, such as their roles, to be visible alongside their names in the guest list.

Prevent Guests in Thread

Stops guests from participating in the announcement thread.
Restricts the announcement thread to non-guests, which can be useful for admin-only discussion.

Do Not Sync Discord Events

Disables synchronization with Discord’s event system.
Prevents the events from being mirrored in Discord’s event system, maintaining separation between Atomcal and Discord events.

Discord Read Only

Makes the event announcement channel read-only.
Ensures that only admins can post in the event announcement channel, preventing users from adding comments or reactions.

Twitch Settings

Do Not Bump Event Duration

Prevents the event duration from being extended by user actions.
This option keeps the event duration fixed, regardless of user engagement.

Sync Recurring Events with Twitch

Automatically syncs recurring events with Twitch.
Ensures that any recurring events you schedule on Atomcal are updated on Twitch, useful for streamers with regular schedules.

Sync Single Events with Twitch

Automatically syncs single events with Twitch.
Similar to the above, but applies to one-time events, helping to maintain consistency across platforms.

These settings allow for robust customization of event scheduling and announcements in your Discord community. Adjust each setting to fit the needs and preferences of your members and moderators. For more detailed information or troubleshooting, consult Atomcal’s support resources.
