Create a connection

Next step is to create a connection between a calendar and a Discord server channel. This is again a three step process. (4 steps if you have connected your Twitch account).

Step 1: Calendar to save events

First step in making a new connection is to name a calendar that will hold the events on this server. If you connected Google account this calendar will also be made on Google calendar.

Step 2: Channel to announce events

Second step is to name a channel on Discord server that will be used to announce the events as messages at your set timings. You can customize the channel name above or change it later from the general settings tab.

Also select roles you want to tag with the event announcements. If you already have existing Discord events the bot will try to take them over.

💡
Make sure to select No if the bot already have control of the existing events or if you don't want the bot to manage your existing events.

Step 3: Custom signups options

Lastly, you can select a template of custom signup options for your community events to have. For example, selecting Trading Card Game (TCG) template will add TGC related custom signup buttons to the announcement message.

Then anyone in your server can select their specific role to let everyone know their desired status before the event starts.

Step 4: Select Twitch account*

Optional* is to also select a Twitch account to sync the events with. This step will be shown only if you have already connected a Twitch account.

Make the connection

Finally, press the make a connection button, and once the loading finishes you're all set to sync events between accounts.

Now, if you create events on Google calendar they will be synced with Discord, and if you create event on Discord they will be synced with Google calendar.

You can further configure the connection by modifying the reminders, status and limits, recurrence and advance options. There are also action buttons to perform actions on demand.
