Rookie Quest: A Hunger Below

Despite an awkward departure, it seems Reshi was satisfied with the Guild's recent performance and has recommended us to an associate. This dwarven smith, Haldrim Stoneshaper, has contracted us to: 1. Find his brother’s son “Lad”, and return him alive. 2. Rescue any captives and eliminate the creatures. 3. Bring a loaded cart out of the mine shaft. Apparently a mining camp was attacked several nights ago by creatures his brother describes as; fast and cunning ogres. They took or killed many of the miners and their families. Most of the survivors are headed to his home, but some, including the son, decided to go after the captives. Only you rookies are available right now. While the contract priorities are in that order, our priority is that you come back alive. Good luck.
