Connect the calendar’s Logcat extension and add the bot to the Discord server. Members can mention it for event and calendar guidance; configured tools can look up facts for the asking member.

Optional AI welcomes can post when someone joins the Discord guild. The calendar must meet the extension’s Boost requirement, the bot must be present and a welcome channel must be selected.
Utility
Keep server tasks in context
Logcat is designed to explain Atomcal workflows and support light server utility. It is not a replacement for a moderator or a general-purpose bot with unrestricted access.
Data boundary: Logcat’s live database tools are read-only and scoped to the Discord user who asked; they do not let a user inspect arbitrary members’ records. Optional AI replies use OpenAI, and the implementation stores conversation context. Review Atomcal’s applicable policies before enabling those features.

Does Logcat need to be in the Discord server?
Yes. The bot must be present in the server for server channel discovery and configured welcome messages.
Can a member use Logcat to read another member’s account data?
No. The live database tools are read-only and scoped to the person who sent the message; they are not an arbitrary-member lookup tool.
Are AI welcomes included without a Boost?
Welcome messages are an optional Boost-gated feature. The calendar also needs the bot connected and a welcome channel selected.
